What image formats are supported?

PNG and JPG. Transparency is not preserved — outputs are opaque.

What output size do I get?

Output size depends on your source. Each pass scales the long edge about 4×, capped near 4000px — e.g. a 500px edge lands near 2000px, while a 2000px edge tops out at the cap. Uploads up to ~16 MP with the long edge under ~4096px; typical output long edge stays under ~4000px.

Why can't I upscale some images?

We block another pass when the long edge is already near ~4000px and total resolution is above ~16 MP (roughly above ~4096×4096 px). Very wide files can still qualify if the long edge stays under the cap. Completed mockup jobs already stored as 4K quality also cannot grow further here.

How much quality improvement should I expect?

Expect clearer edges, texture, and text on listing photos. The pixel jump depends on how large you started — small files grow a lot, large files mostly refine near the cap.

Can I upscale images I didn't create in Mockably?

Yes. The standalone upscale tool works on any PNG or JPG you upload.

Is upscaling available on the free plan?

Does it preserve transparency?

No. Upscale outputs are opaque; transparent areas are flattened.

How long are my upscaled images stored?

Completed upscales are kept according to your plan's file storage retention (the same policy as other Mockably results), then removed automatically.
